Welcome to the temporary website of CPS NeuroCare, LLC. While our permanent site is in development we have chosen to post our brain training and fitness services now due to client demand.
CPS grew out of the neuropsychological services of Commonwealth Psychological Services, PLC, and the personal experiences of Audie Gaddis, PhD, Licensed Clinical Psyhcologist, and Neuropsychologist. When Dr. Gaddis was diagnosed in 2005 with Parkinson's disease he was advised by colleagues at the National Institutes of Health that medicine alone would not save him. Dr. Gaddis then made it his mission to find holistic ways to treat the cognitive and movement impairs of Parkinson's disease. His subsequent testing of his own theories led to profound changes in his body and brain. As a result he ran his first marathon in 2007 qualifying him to run the Boston Marathon in 2008.
By 2007, Dr. Gaddis began test piloting cognitive (brain) training programs at his private practice with select patients finding more of the reality of neurogenesis-- when the brain generates a neural cell and neuroplasticity-- when the brain creates a neural network, such as improved memory, attention, and so many more vital brain functions.
Jessica James, CSP, joined the practice in 2008 and in August 2009 after 2 years of pilot studies launced CPS NeuroCare, LLC to provide specialized and indvidualized training programs for people with cognitive impairments, disorders, learning disabilities, and ADHD to name a few.
Our mission is simple: We seek to be the provider of choice in offering evidence based cognitive training and fitness services throughout Virginia and beyond.
